6.2 | 13 | This is what is used to reduce the number of degrees of freedom of the 6DoF arms to 5DoF by replacing the servo in joint 4 with this fixed coupler. Similarly, J6 in the robot arm can be replaced with this coupler to further reduce it to a four degree of freedom arm. The design also reduces the weight of the servo it replaces, which improves the payload capacity. |
